Max Patch shuttle

Hello All, I am headed up to Max Patch for a long weekend. I am hiking Sat to Monday. ( 1/12-15) Wanted to know if I should try to get a local shuttle or go for a loop.. I can hike 7-9 miles each day.. I know the distance from D'port gap to Max.. and also some camp site ideas... thanks for any help... ps.. any snow up there??
