    Hello,
    I will be in North Ga. at the end of the month and I will be needing someone to shuttle my wife and I from Woody Gap to Amicalola Falls S P. at the end of our hike.

    Thanks in advance !

    Default Shuttle Service

    Try these folks, have shuttle service - AT directory at work , but am not at work, Given generous nature of these folks, I would suggest you give a call to:

    Jensine and Buddy 828 -349-9597, haven't used them but seem very nice over phone, tell them Penscal referred you.

    Numerous references to Manager's generousity (spelling) below, i.e., given hikers a ride.. but do not know deal on this:

    Holiday Inn Express®
    320 Big Sky Drive
    Hiawassee, GA 30546

    Phone
    1-888-838-8892
    1-706-896-8884
    1-800-HOLIDAY
    or
    Fax 706- 896-8894 for Reservations

    Best of luck

    I have used the shuttle services of Wes Wisson several times. He lives in Suches,Ga and does a lot of shuttles for AT and other hikers.

    Default 2ply - thanks personally for additional resource

    How are charges incurred, per miles at per cent per mile or flat rate, any additional cost for more than one person?

    thanks

    Default Shuttle Services

    Mountain Crossings, the outfitter on the AT at Neels Gap, maintains a list of shuttle services in that area. Try this web site for info:

    When I was shuttled by Wes it was a flat fee. From Unicoi Gap to Deep Gap the fee was $20. Hog Pen Gap to Unicoi Gap was $15. Most of my trips are solo so I sometimes leave the truck at one end and shuttle to the starting point.

    Cool Maybe I can help?

    See UPDATE below!
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I live in Blairsville and if you need a shuttle on a Sunday or Monday (assuming it's not the first Monday of the month when we have a staff meeting in Gainesville - that's Georgia's Gainesville) call me on my cell 706-781-4095.
    And I don't charge anything but you will have to put up with the WonderDog, Casey.
    OH yeah, and pay the fee to get into Amicalola St Pk.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE: I've changed my schedule and I'm FREE on WeekEnds (other than in October, but that's another story).

    If you need shuttle service on weekends -- all you pay is the fee to get into Amicalola or to park at Springer Parking Lot or anywhere else there's a fee to park -- call me. Same number as above.

    Thanks for the offer Coosa. I just got back from the trip this evening and I used Wes ( who was great btw) per 2ply's recommendation. My Wife and I had wonderful weather and met several people on the trail- a great trip overall. Great thing is now my Wife is hooked !

    Well, keep my cellphone number in your Trail Manual for future reference.
