I'm so disapointed. I was excepting another example in the wonders of photoshop.

if by this "chick", you're reffering to this lady you've been in the woods to long!
Everywhere is walking distance if you have the time.

If I'm not mistaken (does happen) only three women have hiked the AT 3 times. Mrs Gorp, Rambunny and another old timer. As far as I know Blister, although a triple crowner has only hiked the AT once.

There are others that have hiked lots of miles on the AT and different trails, Spiritwalker, Yogi, Marmot, Marsha, et al. (all triple crowners)

How about Yogi?, she is the B.Jack of the Pacific Crest Trail. Or is this just the AT stud/muffin hikers?

Laurie Adkins (Umbrella Lady) has 3 thru-hikes. She and her husband, Leonard (Habitual Hiker), are thru-hiking again this year. This will be his 5th.

And then there is the up-and-coming Wonderfoot. Who knows how much she will hike in her life.

The strongest woman hiker I've ever seen was Yahoola in '97. She made it from Hot Springs to Damascus in around 8 days, which is like doing 8 back-to-back 25 mile days.

In addition to the folks already mentioned, like Mrs. Gorp, Blister, Rambunny, Laurie Adkins, Yogi, I'd add Teatree to the list as well. Twilight in '98 was another really strong hiker. Any or all of these women can hike rings around old hosses like me, and they probably could've done it when I was ten years younger, too.

In fact, most of them did just that.

Talking Baltimore Jack and Baltimore Jackie O

In 2000 I hiked many miles with Blister. She hiked hard, drank hard, and raised Hell with the best of them. All of us there came to love and admire her and her style. We admired her so much we gave her the "seconday" trail name "Baltimore Jackie O". Too bad it didn't stick but Blister Bitching Sister is also a name that works for her. Mrs Gorp is also a great hiker and good friend but forget a female Baltimore Jack. When they made Jack they threw away the mold and there will never be another one, male or female.
Don't eat the yellow snow. O
