Default Significance of One's Number of Posts?

I was considering the significance of one's number of posts on this forum and wondered which is more truthful...

That the number of one's posts is proportional to one's hiking/trekking experience..

Or if that it is inversely proportional to it..

It's mostly dependent upon one's interest in this forum.

At least half of the top ten posters are 2000 milers or more.
