    Default 2008 Thru-Hike Registry

Hey everyone. I figured i would strt this early. It takes alot of time and preparation for a thru-hike and knowing who is going when you are can really be of comfort to some people. I am 20 years old (will be 21 when i leave) I plan on leave March 2008 and i live in nj. I will be doing day hikes often to work up to my thru-hike. if anyone would like to join me and lives in the northenr nj area please feel free to contact me. otherwise to all interested in attempting a 2008 hike, feel free to register. Im looking forwards to seeing bunches of you on the trail

Come on Freefall, you know you want to; everybody else is doing it. Besides, I was kinda hoping you'd bring some Fat Tire, I miss it dearly.

Oh, it's notta matter of wantin' to, I just think the nice people that have loaned me all this money to go to school, would be countin their vaults and lookin' around, and scratchin' there heads amongst other parts, and they'd be sayin " well if dat boy ain't in school, then why aren't we getting no checks from him to pay us back all that money we loaned `im?"
I've already tempted the fates once on that note, not sure if I could do it a gain before I actually graduate.
Of course, I'm sure more than one person has simply just forgot to stop hiking and ended up doing more than intended.

Fat Tire, you from these here hills?

Went to college at CSU and spent most of my time hanging out at the New Belgium Brewery and playing disc golf. Based on that sentance understand that I know what you mean about those people wanting their money back.

Come on Freefall. I'm gonna try another thru next year, why shouldn't you. They creditors of yours will understand. Just tell them you will be studying the weather hands on for six months in several different regions of the country. I'm sure they can understand that.

    Default Class of 2008

Crazy as it is, heading out in January to get a head start on the rush. This is third attempt to do the "thru". In 06, started in March but had to stop when partner hurt her back a day out of NOC. In 05 had to stop when partner hurt her knee going up Greylock. Guess I need a new partner. Na! To cute to give up. Anyway, got the time, right gear and I hope a healthy partner. Good luck to all. Take it slow til the groove comes along.

Hello from Nova Scotia. My son and I are planning to head south from Delaware Water Gap, Pa.(bunch of reasons) during our High School March Break. Starting before the 15th. He will graduate at the end of Jan and I'm taking a leave of absence from my high school teaching to do the hike with him. Plan to finish before the end of August.
I think it will be fun to meet all of you nobo's and then join up with you when we flip.
As a salmon fisherman I'm Rusty Rat and my son Sam is Meat Hook.
Along with my daughter Beth we traveled to China last summer. I wonder how the AT will stack up against Great Wall?
