    Question camp site

    we are hiking from n.y. to mass. i herd the inn at bear mtn is closed so we need i place to crash for the nite near the bridge.,we will start next am.

    Looks like (from the database) that there is a campsite (Hemlock springs campsite, with water) 2.2 miles further, north of the bridge. Or, if you could go another 4 miles, you would get to the monastary.
    I think you can still camp at the monastary, I haven't been there in a few years but haven't heard that they stopped the camping there.
    I don't think you'd want to camp right near the bridge as there is a busy hiway there and then steep sides of the mtn at Anthony's nose. Happy hiking.

    North of the bridge ahter you begin to go up there is a flat spot or two set up a tent, I tented there in 2000. i am assuming they are still there.
