From the bridge to the entrance road to Graymoor is 6.4 miles.

"They" must be using a different data book. Mine also shows 6.4 miles.

Yeah, sounds like you need a data book. There are lots of places for resupply in CT (your halfway point) But most of them are small towns which to me means maildrop. If you want bigger towns with bigger selections, Kent, Salisbury, Sheffield MA, Lee, Cheshire, etc.
I wouldn't send too much for the 2nd half as the trail goes right thu Cheshire and also close to a grocery store here and there. Fairly populated areas in CT. Just check out a data book and see all the possibilities.

Wolf, I am confused why you are asking this same question in another thread when it was answered in your H2O thread on 7-6-07, post #4
When I went thru in 1998 it was very dry and the spring 3 miles north of the bridge was dry and I had to go about 6 miles to Graymoor to get water.
I'd strongly suggest you buy a data book or follow RickB's advice and learn something about the section of trail you're planning to hike.
