Not me. I'm enjoying his journal. He's an excellent writer with a great sense of humor. I'll bet he enjoys toying with the negative, up in arms over nothing, posters to his guestbook. I wish him well.

I've played around with him, but his wife assured me he knows I'm kidding around.

His hope and dream is giving unsupportive bench warmers a certain discomfort right up their asses? Wow. I hope he completes his hike and re-thinks the "giving a certain discomfort in the ass" part. Sounds complicated. Oh well, another reason to despise message board drama.

His is the only journal I've read every entry so far and I've gotten a real kick out of it. Just irreverant enough to stay interesting. He can turn a phrase or two, can't he?

Funny dude, a little melodramatic, creates his own traditions like sticking his a** on the plaques; but I wish him well.

He brought the criticisms upon himself.

GG best wishes & hope that you find what you came to find.

The trail was here before we arrived, and it will still be here when we are gone...enjoy it now, and preserve it for others that come after us

Pretty entertaining journal. Sounds like gatorgump has a pretty thin skin.

Also, looks like trailjournals has crashed again.

I find his journal hilarious. I could be just a Bias Gator fan...speaking of which I have to email a friend regarding some TSU vs. UF tickets! eeek! Thanks for reminding me!

I gave his journal a read and really enjoyed it. I found the 'suggest entry' tab rather disturbing though. A little too interactive for me. Some things should stay on the trail, or the imagination.

He is an inspiration for sure.

OK. I'm a little disappointed. I found an interesting journal entry where I thought the 'suggest entry' would be appropriate, but it didn't allow me to offer any specific details other than my own email address, which is definitely not what I had in mind.

I've been following his journal - he is certainly unconventional, but not the 'I love to tic people off' I originally thought he was. I've taken a good deal of hazing in his guestbook, but I get a lot of private commentary indicating people think those who are hazing me are the south end of a north bound Gump

I have found his journal to be quite amusing to read. Has he made it to Katahdin yet? His last journal entry was on the 18th or 19th, and he was almost 2,000 miles in. I would think he has summitted already, or is he still suffering from the water contamination he had coming to him?

    Life is good,
    Kirby

Because in one of his early entries he said he was not going to treat his water, he even said in his latest post that it was wrong for him not to do so.
