Hi guys.

Made this recipe to have something for weekend hikes without stove. I think they turned out really good, chunky & very filling. Two days in the pack wasn't a problem, don't know yet how long they can be kept. Please help me test them & give your feedback.

Ealingbars:

You need: Oat flakes, cane sugar, honey, peanut butter, coconut-flakes, banana chips, butter.

Very rough recipe, for 2-4 bars dep. on size:

Fry 2 cups of oat flakes with a table spoon of cane sugar in butter until golden brown, set aside.

Melt 3 table spoons of peanut butter & 1 table spoon of honey in a pot on low heat. (Use the types that are firm in room temperature)

Pour the fried oat into the pot with melted peanut butter & honey, add a table spoon of coconut flakes and a table spoon of banana chips that you’ve crushed. This should make a very thick porridge.

Form the thick porridge into bars on a tray. Cool in the fridge for a couple of hours. If you got it right, they should now be firm but slightly bendable without breaking. Wrap them in aluminium foil, and you are ready to go!

If anyone knows how to calculate energy content, % of carbs, fat, protein etc, help is welcomed. Suggestions on what could be changed to make them better in regard to energy content and nutrition?
