Question "Walking the Appalachian Trail" -Larry Luxenburg

    Hello all,

I am curious if anybody that participates in this forum was involved in the book “Walking the Appalachian Trail” by Larry Luxenberg.

I am reading it right now, and love it.

    Default Walking the Appalachian Trail

Larry called us up when he was writing the book and we talked for hours about the trail. Same with Lynn Setzer. I even got quoted once or twice in Maine Rose's book. Just lucky, I guess.

Geek was in there with his 20 lb cat. I saw him on the trail again in 2002

Yep, saw Geek walk into the Hostel in Gorham. He walked in beet red, out of breath, wearing bermuda shorts. Thought to myself, "No way in hell this guy is a hiker." Talked to him the next morning at Jeffers Brook Shelter and gave me a ton of useful advice and really psyched my up for what was left of the trip.

If you liked Larry's book, be sure to read Lynn Setzer's "Season on the Appalachian Trail".
