    Default Weather

OK, I have a quick weather question that I've been trying to get sorted out, but no luck so far. What city or cities is/are closest to the start of the trail (NOBO) for me to check weather historically for? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated

There are three that you might check, all in Georgia. First, there is Dahlonega, then Blairsville, and then Elijay. For personal conversation about the effects of the weather as in availability of water and/or number of blowdowns, there's Amicolola Falls State Park and Mountain Crossings.--Kinnickinic

Ewker, Thanks for the site! Now that I come to think of it, there are a few sites with that data right? I was asking for a city so that I could look at weather data historically. Also thanks Sawnie, I'll start with those cities

Speaking of this, is there any information about what sort of winter and spring we are expecting for the southern AT this year? Farmer's Almac for 2008 isn't out yet.
