Default Long Trail Festival Rutland, VT

A general announcment for those near or able to get to Rutland, VT. There is going to be a first annual Long Trail Festival in Rutland Vermont this coming weekend (Sept. 17-19). Sounds like a lot of fun.

They do not allow pets on site, and do not allow glass containers. Smoking frowned upon. Camping is available on site. You can get to Rutland via Amtrak!

This morning's low temperature was 44F. It may feel like September, but it's actually August.

I'd love to be there but no dogs allowed. Instead I'll be laying a new floor at my son's house in Somerville, MA.

Just to clarify, it is not THIS weekend (Aug. 10-12) it is NEXT weekend (Aug. 17-19).
I would much rather be anywhere on a trail right now
than just sitting in front of some computer reading about it.
