    Default South Maryland Campsites

Does anyone know if there is anywhere to camp once you leave the Ed Garvey shelter? I cant seem to find anywhere to camp until you get through Harpers Ferry into Virginia. Anyone know of anywhere closer?
    Thank you,
    Ron

It's only a relatively few miles (less than 10) from the Garvey Shelter to Harpers Ferry...all either downhill, or dead level for the short section where the A.T. is concurrent with the C & O Canal Towpath.

If you really wanted to, you could camp along there somewhere, or there's a hostel you could stay at if you take the blue-blazed trail about midway along the C & O segment...
