Greetings Pilgrims, Just wanted to know if there is any places to tent between Walnut mountain Shelter and Deer Park Mountain Shelter around Big Rock Springs? Thanks for your info, Whiskyjo

Default Campsite near Big Rock Spring

The land right around the spring is steep but if you continue past the spring (bushwhack) up the slope veering slightly left a short distance you will hit an old logging road on the crest of the ridge. This road was the AT in the 1970's. There is some flatter land up there and an old cabin site down the road a very short distance to your left. I believe the spring was the water source for the old cabin.
