I think I'll find a really cool spot along the trail and just spend 2 or 3 days relaxing there to enjoy my B-day.

I had my birthday on the trail during our thru-hike. My husband packed in materials to make a cake, which he baked (sort of) in our cookpot, and balloons and decorations, including candles, and wine. The guests were whoever showed up at the shelter that night, which ended up being some people we had met, and some new faces. It was pretty much my best birthday party ever.

I got to spend my 27th in Franklin, NC this year. I loved having a b-day with my hiker family! The bummer? No canolli down south! I don't do cake.....I get canolli with a candle.
