Cornelius Creek Shelter (VA)

Another basic 6-person design with uncovered picnic table and fire ring. Water from the creek next to the access trail. The shelter itself is located on a small knoll just above, but unseen from, the Trail. Privy is probably 150-feet behind the shelter on the right (it took some conscious thought to figure out where it might be!). Ample tent sites.

As of early November '04, it was a little dirty.......
(I wanted to say ratty, but that would give the wrong impression).

Anyway, if SOBO, push on to the next shelter, Bryant Ridge - big and clean.

Just to let everyone know - don't be alarmed by the many garbage bags tied up near the privy. Rumor has it a woman overwinters there - supposedly mentally unstable and believes the privy is her throne. Right now she is getting treatment. Not certain if she might make another appearance.
