    Default Missing hiker/Mt Washington area

    Anyone seen this guy in the Presidentials since Sunday the 9th?
    A mystery so far............

    I actually helped to look for the fellow while hiking in the Great Gulf. Apparently he did not want to be found. Very sad how someone could go that far downhill and decide that this was their only option.

    I just read the story and can only think that the 75 feet of rope he was carrying had something to do with him being missing.

    It's a sad local story in this part of Maine. He lived across the river and a bit upstream from us. His parents live just up the road a few miles. His mother went to nursing school with my wife.
