Water report from Erwin to Damascus

Does any one have a current water report for Erwin to Damascus trip? Starting Tuesday Oct 2.

Where is there water and were are the best alternatives close to the trail?

I just had a hiker do from here to Watauga Lake. He reported most piped springs running... even if somewhat slowly. Roan Mountain shelter is dry but you can get water at the parking area. Many small streams are dry.

If you see water... get it... don't assume that another source up the trail is going to be reliable.

it's freakin dry. plan accordingly. don't count on springs. cache water

With all of the easy to get to road crossings around here it is easy to cashe water. I do that a lot.
