    Default AT Sectionals in VA

I ramrod a group of 50 hikers in the Raleigh-Durham, NC area. We do 2 spring trips and 2 fall trips a year. Just back from 70 miler Springer to Hiawassee, GA. with 10 hikers for a week. Back in VA April and May 2008. Group splits all costs (shuttle, van rental, gas) I don't charge I just hike. Any interest in getting on the email list, let me know.

I failed to mention that we usually have 6-10 hikers for a trip... not 50!

How would you describe this group? Eddie Bauer day hikers or hardcore backpackers?

    Default Group Description

Our group hikes 10-14 mile days. Just finished Springer to Hiawassee. We hike 4 trips a year at 30-40 miles in 3-4 days. Next trips are scheduled for April and May 2008.

Most of us tend to lean toward ultralight. The others are fast becoming converts.

We prefer seasoned hikers. We can't take on liabilities.

add me to your list. [email protected] did 900 miles of the AT in 2004 under the trail name speed. sharing the cost sounds real good.

Add me to the list, not really close to Raliegh, but sounds like fun and would be cheaper than doing it myself. Virginia is my next section on my quest so I am looking forward to going in 2008.
