    1. DON'T rely on butane lighters as your sole fire source. Make sure you have an entirely different means of firemaking for your back-up. Butane lighters don't work well in the wind, or when the flint gets wet, or at high altitude, or when they clog.

    I believe REI and many other suppliers carry these, also.

    2. DON'T confuse the less reliable Coghlan's waterproof matches for the good stuff.
