Three SOBO sightings

While hiking north from Stecoah Gap met up with MR. WIFFLE at Brown Fork Gap Shelter evening of 17 Oct. The next day (18th) had lunch at Cable Gap Shelter with MONSTRO and morning of 19th met CHILLI as I was sitting outside the visitor center at Fontana Dam waiting to be picked up. All three were in great spirits and making good time over ground.

That's "Chilly," by the way. (As he explained to me...) I met both of these guys (Chilly & Mr. Wiffle) in SNP around Labor Day. Sounds like they'll be finishing up in another few weeks. Good for them!

Yer right, Fontana is only 163 miles from Springer. IIRC, that distance took me about 2.5 weeks, but I was waaaay slow. Chilly & Mr. Wiffle are doing 20 mile days routinely.
