Well i got a lot to do. I'm from the UK and because I only really do day hiking i need to get a lot of equipment ready i've i'm really going to do this. I'm excited though. I managed to do a lot of hiking in New Zealand earlier in the year just didn't camp.
Hopefully this SORUCK will get me what i need as i think i've got as much as i'm going to know from AT Books. I may come over for a week, buy my gear (in Half Price Land - loving that £/$ conversion rate!) and spend a couple of nights on my own on the trail.
Oh and i have to get that visa!

Yeah...I know the feeling. My mom sent me an email today and asked me how I was getting to Springer Mountain. I realised that I didn't know yet and that I should figure that out soon - spring will be here before we know it! I better call my brother at NOC and sort out some details!

It's all I think about these days, and I can't wait to get back out on the trail again. I find no matter where I am or what I'm doing, I'm always waiting to hike long distances on the AT again. It's a nice feeling.

In such a changing world it's nice to have a stable feeling, a strong connection, and a love for something that you can always bank on. When I was 18 I had such a strong desire to hike the AT is was almost unbearable, yet now at 32 it's still that way.

Next year will be wonderful, another amazing hike with another group of amazing people (and jackasses and nutjobs). It's the next great thing in my life and it's been 3-4 years since I had a next great thing, so that feels great. I can't wait to see you all out there.
