My dog Tonka loves to hike, but sleeping in the tent is what he looks forward to each evening. He usually goes when the weather is cooler as the heat is hard on a dog.

Wow, these are some photos lately. I think this is one of the best threads on WB. Of course I am prejudiced. But your photos make it so good. Its really neat to see all your dogs. Wow, all types and sizes yet they are loved. Pretty neat.

This is Moxie on her first backpacking trip in Pisgah, NC. She loved it!
Here's a pic of my buddy that I took a couple of years ago.
My poor boy is getting a little too old for trails. He's sixteen, but he's still loving life! Here's my dog, Cody, at Oak Mountain State Park in Birmingham, AL.

I was thinking today that Phoebe is coming up on her 8th birthday.... makes me reflect on good times! These are not very good pics - I took them in my pre-digital camera days, and they are low-res scanned images - but two of my favorite memories with her!
Everywhere is walking distance if you have the time.
Hey Johnny cat - great photo! I would take that and get a 22 inch and frame that for the livingroom.
Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them.

Thanks Owl, I appreciate the compliment! I must admit that he's really easy to get a picture of, I think he actually knows what the camera is!
Trixie! All of 15 lbs on our canoe trip last weekend. (note the cooler )
This is Lennon, our 2 year old miniature dachshund. She weighs in at a whopping 7 lbs, and yes, she may be a bit spoiled.
Not my dog, but it is a photo I took:
..and another photo that I took of a dog that is not my own (but I've hiked and skiied with him countless times!)

Why don't we have a gallery option for this? for gods sake they have a category for freaking mice! We the dog lovers of WB should ask to have a sub category set up for or friends that hike more miles than some of the folks that post on here all the time.
I sent a PM to ATroll and goT zero response. It needs to become a movement. Imagine if five people a day walked in hummed a bar of Alice's restaurant and walked out. Well folks it would be a movement.... oh sorry got side tracked. Send your requests as well.
JohnCat-Mtn climbing dog! Wow what a moment.
Moxie sure IS relaxed (and loved).
Superman-man that is a big and beautiful dog. Looks well groomed and cared for.
Elmotoots-An explorer dog. dogs find treasures.
SteveJ-Phoebe is a wolfhound? 2nd photo is really neat.
MisterKrabs-Active? Yeah.
Osubcs#1-Lennon looks spoiled and loving it.
Well done gang! I wish we could have a slide show on WB of all these.
