I hope it survives the hunting season.

A few years back there were a some albino deer out by Wautauga (sp?) Road here in Washington County, including a full-grown buck, but unfortunately hunters came looking for them. I don't know if that gene has popped back up again or not but for a while it was common among that "family" of deer.

Albino deer, and albino species of any kind, weaken the gene pool of the species. I hope it does not survive the hunting season, for the sake of the rest of the local population. They carry a recessive gene that is actually detrimental to it's own existence.

I went to school in Clarion PA in the late '60s and locals claimed there was a "strain" of albino deer in the forests nearby. The first day of dder season in PA is pretty close to a state holiday and the parade thru town of bambis strapped across car hoods was a sight to see, but no albinos.

That should be illegal, if you shoot a bear in GA that weighs less than 75#, Ga DNR will fine you heavily. An adult (2 yo) bear will weigh about what a man weighs, and is about the same size.

Never could understand " Trophy Hunting". If you couldn't eat it or it wasn't destroying your property it didn't get hunted , around our place.

You can eat those cubs, and you can eat those pie ball deer. The people who killed those cubs are probably more of a "if it flies it dies" mentality. Most trophy hunters only shoot something that is somewhat of a trophy, and most hunters do go through a trophy stage at some point in their life, its not necessarily a bad thing.

Shooting animals for fun is not necessarily a good thing, either.

Using ammonium nitrate as a fertilizer isn't a good thing either. Subsidizing corn crops isn't necessarily a good thing (we should be subsidizing hops). Growing cows for 1-2 years for food isn't necessarily a good thing. Using BGH on our dairy cows isn't a good thing.

I'll shoot my animals for fun, besides, eating them is just as good.

To me, that just screams stew and some good days worth of meals.

If God didn't want us to eat animals, why did he make them out of meat?

Crop damage from overpopulated deer/bear don't help farmers either.
Most anti-hunters don't have any idea what they talk about nor do they support our DNR either.

I've been laid up since October because I tried to save a deer. My mistake. Deer are severely overpopulated. Thin the herd.
