Thanks for posting this. I never knew about Bearcant's site.

great links. thanks...
the elevation profiles are somewhat deceiving though, because they make it look so much harder than it is. The climbs are so very gradual, you hardly know you're climbing.
I like Craig's site, but since it hasn't been updated in a few years, I wonder how reliable the resupply information is. Some of the places we used to resupply probably don't exist any more, at least not in the same form. (i.e. Agua Dulce has changed a couple of times over the years in terms of what is in town).
Looking at Bearcant's photogallery sure does make me dream of getting back to the PCT.
Sly, do you know what happened to the cinnamon bear?
MrsG
thanks sly
can't wait!
great pic sly, how can ya go without me neighbor ??!!..
how did ya manage that ??... some kinda shifty insurance guy thing ??..
It got fat? Seriously, I have no idea how the bear got the pack or if it was turned in, destroyed etc. Personally, I wouldn't mentioned it to the authorities unless it went through my tent. Certainly, not if I left my food unwatched and unprotected.
I may be going too! Yappy, start making plans, at least for the JMT section. I need that 800 mile advantage over you!.
See you guys out there! That means you too Yappy! Grits round II. Can't miss it.
and no... this is no bluff!
