at your local outfitter. MRO has the National Geographic Trails Illustrated map of the Smokys. $10
I used the NatGeo Smokys map for a BMT hike and found it quite adequate.

The BMT uses portions of existing trails, but for the most part, it is labeled BMT.

The NG map has some trail that aren't on the NPS map and the NG map forgot to name a trail or two that are on the NPS map. Anyway, its pretty tricky to get lost up there, its marked very well
I like the Earthwalk Press Map of the Smokies. You can get it at the visitor centers at the park
