Anyone here slosh across Bradwell Bay in winter? I'm looking for some first hand experience. Planning to do it after the SORUCK along with St. Marks NWR.
Thanks.

word on the street regarding the bradwell bay area is that during the dry season its a mystical land and beautiful hike. the water should be plenty low (especially with the shortages of late). its about a 22 mile thru, 8 miles through standing water that ranges ankle to knee deep, depending on precipitation. Theres a place to camp mid-way thru, on a small "island" in the hammocks.
talked to a florida-trail thru-hiker not too long ago that said it was fantastic. in january, be weary of hypothermia. the snakes and alligators shouldnt be too bad. enjoy.
Thanks Rob. Should be a blast!
