We got both in one package!
sweet! of course, i gotta' get my kitchen pass for this trip, but i do not see that being too big an issue? are you still thinking of a basecamp/shelter in north SNP? if so, which one would that be? i would prolly' have to hit the road fri. pm after work, roach hotel fri. pm, and up early sat. am to meet up with you at a reasonable/early time on sat. i may have to ask for some suggestions for this itinerary as the time nears? i'm stoked!!!
Need to see who all is comming, if Doggiebag is comming, sounds like he has an idea of where to start. Figure we can plan it so that our camp site is near the road for you can meet us easily.
Dont worry, we'll get it all figured out!
Tom Floyd Wayside is a shelter .8 miles north of the SNP (Shenandoah National Park) boundary. Basecamp could be at this shelter. It is also within 2.9 miles south of US522 which leads to Front Royal. Plenty of time to plan this one.

Hey, if you are going to do a trip in NY or NJ count me in..
This will make it look just like the last day of hunting season any hikers who fall back just follow the blood trails into camp. That is a great idea. If the wounds are too deep Doggiebag can cautaurize them with the road flare he will be using to heat his tent this trip.
yep, let me check, ok I got a pulse. I am a section hiker always looking to get on the trail..what kind of distance you looking at? what are the start and stop points?
Oh yea, forgot about that blood trail! ...... thought LastHonestFool's foot finally gave way from those sneakers being used as winter boots !
River1, got you added in! Welcome aboard, get ready for some good times.......
I have enough to worry about than caring for the injured. Let the Darwin awards commence. Road flares are for sissies - my candle lanterns provide enough heat. I may just forgo the tent and go hardcore with the Hennesey. Aldo will be fine with his thermarest ... it all depends on the conditions. I gotta watch out for my special needs child (Aldo).

Going to take the dog out Friday to get a jacket (as long as he dont look too stupid, other wise he is going with the cold but cool looking combo ) and a pack, this should be good!
