    Thanks for joining and your link on your post is promoting this site, too... which, to me, is a great forum. I have hiked quite a bit of the AT when I lived in the Northeast, just moved to CO... where I have to say the mountains are quite a bit higher.

    The highest peaks in New England are not even the elevation that I now live in and I love to climb high. But I still have many fond memories of the AT.
