Once a long time ago I was watching CNN with a student from west Africa. He turned to me and asked "what is a repeat offender" a term he heard in the broadcast. I explained the meaning to him, he thought for a minute and then told me "in my country, we have no such thing as a repeat offender".

latest news on the Florida case, Hilton's lawyers are appealing his death sentence to the Fla Supreme Court. I'm watching a NBC Dateline Real Life Mysteries show now .. "Death on Blood Mountain", about this psycho. To be honest, his arrogant, bragart, narcicistic personality reminds me of others I've met on the trail, but just cuz someone is an arrogant SOB, doesn't mean they are a serial killer.
I hope Hilton rots in *ell for what he's done.
