When I first met Crumb, I asked him if he wanted to buy cookies and he told me they sucked and that he had once ate a brownie. I was my daughters troop leader and was not at all amused and thought "what a jerk!". I'm sure that I'm not the only one who got this first impression of him.

They are full of trans fats, and they are a bad lesson for young girls-- just offer the boys some "cookies" and you will get paid. What is the symbolism of sexist repression at work here?

So what's the purpose of this thread? Selling Girl Scout cookies is prohibited on the internet. Is it just to poke fun at a fund raiser? Well, there are worse fund raisers than this out there. There is actually some benefit from having youth work for the funds to do the things they want.

    I guess I just don't get it.

Sorry to all who took offense. My girlfriends 9 year old daughter is a scout, yes, she's selling cookies, and it is a very worthy cause.

SEE?! With more smileys, every one would know we were joking.

Maybe they would lighten up a bit ....
If people spent less time being offended and more time actually living, we'd all be a whole lot happier!
