    Default Lantern Hill, Ledyard, CT

Has anyone hiked this hill? I've been walking up and down it 2-3 times per day with a 32# pack in preperation for my thru. I'm also doing some running. The hill isn't that challenging for me and I'm out of shape and fat.

If you're familiar with it and fit does the climb even make you breathe more heavily or make you sweat?

Heck yeah I've been there... I grew up in Ledyard! Did a bunch of rock climbing there when I was in highschool, still try to get up there every once in a while when I'm back in CT. Great little place. Even camped up there a few times, though I'm not sure if that's allowed now (or was allowed back then either, come to think of it... but then, I was in highschool and dumb to the ways of the world).

It's for sure a steep climb, but it's short. Going up and down it a few times a day though is a good way to get in shape. Last time I climbed it was last winter, and it was snowing. Very pretty up there in the snow.
    Don't take anything I say seriously... I certainly don't.

I've done my share of partying up there.
It is short but at least I know it's only partly me.
Yes, it's right near the casino.
