I just voted "Finish thru, but not break a record." Of course an injury due to a speed attempt would negate that.

I thought he was a troll at first too. But, after seeing his interview with the local TV station, I believe him to be sincere in his beliefs. I just hope that reality does not hit him too hard. We all know that he cannot do the pace he describes, but he doesn't.

I sincerely hope he adjusts his plans and enjoys his adventure no matter how long it takes him. I don't think we should be making fun of his effort.

    Well put.

In the end, I hope he does what it takes to enjoy his journey. That is what is really important after all.

A 2 min. mile would be more likely. Does anyone think they could do the last 5 days of this schedule? I would bet that alone would be impossible. I would have voted that he doesn't show, but after seeing the news clip I believe him to simply be looking for publicity. My bet is he shows and has an "injury" the first day and quits.
There are so many miles and so many mountains between here and there that it is hardly worth thinking about

I'll be very impressed if he completes any 73 mile day.

With that being said, I hope he has a great time and I wish him all the luck.
