Default Nothern Virginia in early March

After our hiker weekend in Duncannon, I may head into northern VA for a week or so before driving South.

What should I expect in the way of weather at this time of the year in the Shenandoah Valley or the Park?

    driving South???
I usually hike President's Day w/e from Blackburn north & return to Blackburn and many times there is snow cover but the views are spectacular. You will see houses (close to the trail) that u never knew were there.

    • Check w/ ATC for water report.. water usually is scarce.
    • Usually you can always get water and stay at Blackburn ("bunkhouse").... Blackburn Overseer= Chris Brunton aka Trail Boss- trailbossbtc_at_msn.com , If you have questions call Chris at 703/924-0406.
See ya in Duncannon at the Doyle.

Thanx FP, but if I do this, I'll likely start from Front Royal. See you soon.
