    Default Hikers in East TN

Hello, my name is Cassandra and I am looking for people to do a few trips in the area with. Planned on wiating til' it warmed up a bit, but I'm starting to get a lil tired of just working all the time. Give me a shout if your interested.

At some point you should drive to Hampton (near Elizabethtown) and introduce yourself to Bob Peoples. Bob runs Kinkora Hiker Hostel (it's two tenths of a mile off the Trail!) and goes hiking all year long, as he maintains the section of Trail near his house. It's a beautiful area to explore and he'd be a great guide.

That would be some great advice from Jack. Bob is awesome and I'm sure can always use some help maintaining things. It was one of my favorite stops along the trail. The hiking to and from there is also really nice.

I am just up in Johnson City TN. I am in shooting distance of several sections of the trail, and I am usually out on trail when I am not working. Usually day hike, but I I am starting up my sectioning. Then when I am not hiking, I help maintain the Eastman Hiking Club section of AT. So I am nuts about trail.

My hiking club also has some a good following of hiking groups if interested. Our most famous one is the 'Friday Hikers.'
