Wish I could go.
Enjoy it, it's a great trail.
When you finish contact the FTC and report any conditions that need improvement.
If you are hiking "south" and have enough time, take the Fork Mountain Spur when you get to Sloan Bridge. You'll enjoy the extra section of the River(about 4 miles).
It will add about 12 miles to the trip.
I hope the area has had rain. The river was very low in October.
