Instead of missing Jester at Trail Days y'all need to get your butts on the PCT!
WTG, Jester. I love to see people living their dreams.
Jester... Enjoy your hike on the PCT!!!
The East Cost will be just a little less hilarious for a time.

I also would like to extend best wishes to our dear friend Jester as he sets out on the Piece 'o Cake Trail.
All the Best Jester, I know you will have a great time.
Good luck jester... we won't cross paths, as we don't hike until July 08. I will thnk of you as we pass Mt. Whitney.
Does Jester have a on-line journal or a way to see his where abouts, mail drops, if anyone knows could you share it ?
When is he leaving or did he already leave?

One generally can't leave Mexico until mid-April, though this may shape up to be a high snow year, so closer to May in that case. Unless he's got some sort of scheme up his sleeve.
Anything's within walking distance if you've got the time.

He is planning the PCT so he is keeping track of snowfall, etc... Here is an entry from Cuppajoe's journal:
"I will be starting on the 19th. Several others are starting a couple days earlier and others are starting a week later. Funny thing is I know we will all meet up somewhere along the way. There is a thing called the Sierras that kinda equals out the, “how fast do I hike equation” and right now the optimal entry date into the Sierras is June 8. This info is based on current snowfall conditions. I have a mental goal set that I want to hit Kennedy Meadows, the Sierra entry site around June 10."

I too would like to wish Jester good luck, if only to make this thread longer.
I will let everyone know this info as it gets closer to my start, as that's usually when I get more self-absorbed (and my normally high level of delusions of grandeur skyrockets, and I start to believe that everyone should be as interested in me as I am).
Off-trail I usually keep a scheme up my sleeve. When I'm hiking I keep it down my pants (to prevent chafing).
But worry not -- I'm still East-coasty for a bit. See some of you jokers at the Warmer. . .
Whoa... I am so out of the loop! I hope you have a great hike Jester. I'm so jealous!!! I'm hoping to make it out west sometime this summer maybe. Damascus won't be the same this year!

The west will never be the same.........
Best of luck Jester!

sometimes i use my jesters voice. its a cheap imitation of you. i dont do it around you cause its not cool. my jesters voice only comes on when im giving instructions or decriptions of the trail. like,.. if im telling someone not to sleep at bake oven knob shelter but to walk on. im thinking in my jesters thaught voice right now . im gonna go walk around town with my jesters walk and ciggerett carry. to the bookstore. where ill prolly use my jesters look while browsing. the look that screams ,...well yall know it. i got some jester flakes on my gear if anything happenes we can clone him back later. meanwhile, can i have your costumes if you dont come back? and who gets your share of the desserts?
