If there a fire ban on Max Patch, and can you camp on the bald?

You can camp on the bald. Not sure about a fire ban, but I can see no reason to build one on the bald. It's often windy up there too. I recall seeing fire rings in the woods just north of the bald - near some campsites.

Was just through there a few days ago. There was a great campsite just south of the summit of Max Patch. Close to the bald but down just a bit and mostly out of the wind. I remember thinking that I'd like to bring the wife for a picnic on the summit and camp there overnight.
