Default Who would you Hike with?

Discounting any spouse or current significant other - what current or historic figure would you choose to hike the Appalachian Trail with.
I imagine some folks would have more than one choice. And if you could choose a group, who would you hike with?

Kinda wish my dad was still alive to walk the trail with me. Other than my wife, BadAss Turtle, he's the one with whom I would most like to share that experience.

Andrew Jackson, I'd force him to walk every mile against his will and see how he likes it.

My Dad. He's been gone for almost 19 year now, and if I could I'd would have liked to walked with him. My other choice would be my son when he gets home from Iraq.

Moses and the jews. They went on an unsupported thru (well, unsupported by men anyway) for forty years. And Moses may have slackpacked to the top of the mountain, but, he was fully loaded when he came down. Top that.
I'm not really a hiker, I just play one on White Blaze.

For me, if I was to select a family member, it would be my son or my Papaw, who passed on his love for the outdoors to his sons and his grandsons before he died. If I had to pick an historical figure, I'd have to say I'd want to hike with the Dalai Lama.
