Section Hike in Late March

I am planning a hike from Max Patch to Newfound Gap in the early spring, specifically March 20th through 25th. This will be my first time on the AT although others in my group have been on it before. I would greatly appreciate any info, advise, suggestions, on this particular section at that time of year.We have a good idea of which shelters we will sleep in and daily milage. The weather is our main concern. Also any comments on shelters, privys, terrain, clothing, water sources, etc. would be helpful.
