    Default Skype on the trail?

Just curious if the various hostels and internet points along the trail are setup for Skype (in particular, do they have a headset)?

I wouldn't count on anyone having the stuff for skype. You can run the software from a thumb drive and carry a small headset. Instructions for thumb drives

I have Skype and you will not need it for the trail. Leave the headset at home.
Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them.
