When are you leaving? I'll be going over to the Sams Gap trailhead and down to Marshall (about 15 mi east of Hot Springs) later this week, and can tell you how white the ridges look.

Gunner, I haven't been up the mountain yet, but the hiking club reports from the past weekend all indicate there is snow at higher elevations and ice at initermediate elevations. Plus, the weather forecast for this weekend is not all that encouraging. If you go, be prepared for some strenuous miles. Best wishes.
