I'm section hiking the AT and looking for a hiking partner for Sunday, 5/18, to hike in from Wind Gap to Delaware Water Gap or in the other direction. Are you interested?

Hi,Thanks for responding. The timing could be restrictive. We have our house for sale. Lots of work to do while trying to work my regular job.I do prefer this time of year or fall to hike instead of the dog days of summer.I've had Vermont on my mind for awhile. Someday I'd like to get up into New England for my remaining years if it could be possible. I'm not a southern states retiring type. I bought a road atlas in Wal-Mart (which I actually despise, but you know the price was right) and I look at the section where they have the store locations (it's obscene how many there are) I see there are only 4 stores in all of Vermont. That"s where I gotta be I say to myself. Plus the land area to population ratio is right for me.By the way in Yankee magazine I read there are no McDonalds in Montpelier. Only state capital that can make that claim. You gotta love that! Sorry to ramble on off topic. I like to stay in contact and try to work out a hike. Take care and I hope there's room for one more or maybe a couple more in Vermont someday. Stillbill

I'll be continuing south in Pennsylvania Memorial Day week-end and this summer. But yes, the hiking is beautiful in Vermont. I've completed the Long Trail, which overlaps with the AT in the southern part of the state. Happy hiking.

Sheneequa, I am looking for someone to hike between Wind Gap and the Delaware Water Gap on Sunday, 5/18. Are you available? Jerseyhick, I'm planning on backpacking Memorial Day week-end from Little Gap to Blue Rocks Campground. I don't recall where Fox Gap is. Are we covering similar parts of the trail?

Thanks for chiming in.Sounds inviting. My family and friends don't share the same enthusiasm for this as I do that's why I've slacked off through the years. I like to hook up with folks that share the same enthusiasm as me. When I daydream about hitting The Trail I get goosebumps. I guess it's in soul. Take care,Stillbill

Fox Gap is north of Little Gap, so we're starting same place but I'm headed north. The way you're headed is a cool area that I've been through tons of times. If you have any questions let me know.

Hey, is anyone interested in getting a small group of Jerseyans together to do a short hike (a couple days, maybe) this summer or fall? I'd like to meet a variety of Jersey hikers.

I know where it is, but it isn't my area. (I'm in Hunterdon County. Maybe you know of Frenchtown? It's famous with bikers, anyway...)

Well let me know if you ever plan on coming to NJ or nearby for a hike- I'm looking for hiking partners. Even if it's only once. (Seriously)

Seriously, I'm looking for anyone who wants to hike in the fall, I don't care about age range or gender. I'm thinking it would be great to get a group together for short hikes in NJ, but maybe also for some hikes (possibly a bit longer) in VT/NY.
(Hey stillbill- I completely agree with your walmart/Vermont tangent, by the way.)
