    Default Matthewski is hurt and we need help!

    Matty just called and says he think he has broken his ankle! What we need is someone to go to Overmountain Shelter and pick him up and take him to the doc and then bring him here to my house if he does not need surgery....

    Can anyone help?

    Did he tell you whether there was anyone with him to help splint it and get him to a road?

    I just talked to Matty as well, he says it is swollen pretty good but he can put a little pressure on it, anyway everything is going to work out I hope........

    there's a road within 300 yards of the shelter you can drive to with a truck. he'll be alright

    Just talked to Bob and he says that Matty is going to meet janet at the trail head. If that damn things broken, i mean where the hell is the trail head at?

    I'm sory to hear Matty is hurt, big fat bummer! That sucks. I'm sure he's already done all this but if anyone else talks to him, make sure he takes some Vitamin I, splint the ankle or use something as a compression wrap and keep it elevated until the cavalry arrives.

    It's more like a half mile walk. It's Roaring Creek Road off of 19E near Minnneapolis, NC.
