    That's real good news especially since so much of the Trail in PA is surrounded by private land. Of course, the towns have to take it seriously and not succumb to big money and real estate interests.

    I don't know how I feel about this. As a hiker who enjoys the A.T. it's great, but as a home owner I know I wouldn't take kindly to someone telling me I couldn't use my land the way I want to because it abutts trail lands or because it's in the view shed of the AT or because it's within ear shot of the trail. For me, this is a much larger issue than just preserving the trail.

    I'd like to hear what other folks think.
