    Default Susquahanna river from duncannon to harrisburg

    I need to get off the trail at duncannon Pa and get to Harrisburg. Does anybody know if its possible to float down the susquahanna river all the way to the vicinity of harrisburg PA?

    What do you mean by "float"? Are you talking about a boat or do you mean to "float" as with an intertube?

    an inflatable raft basically, but a large innertube would be fine too

    no, i just need take a detour to texas so i need to get to harrisburg so i can catch a bus to baltimore and prefer to travel for free as far as possible

    Um, OK...

    If you show up real early on a weekday with $2.50 you can take a bus: http://www.tcrpc-pa.org/srtp/SRTP_Ch...ins_valley.htm or could ask at the Doyle to get someone to drive you too.

    Could be cheaper than buying something in Duncannon (not exactly a shopper's paradise) good enough to float without becoming the next feature on this page: http://www.harrisburgriverrescue.org/calls/rcalls.htm
