I agree. I'm not the biggest fan of planned out feeds, but it's obvious Mary put a lot of effort into the weekend.

Good job, I'm sure a lot of hungry hikers appreciated it!

I was given 5 copies of the article by the writer. If any hikers who were featured in the two part article want a copy let me know. I thought Chris did a great job on the article. He really did his research. Even included pink blazing as one of the terms known by hikers. He was disappointed that they cut his space because he had a lot more he would have liked to include.

Yeah, I'm thinking if I were to plan such a thing in the future I'd avoid using the words "hiker feed" and "trail magic" to avoid contradicting other folks notions about such things. The term "magic" in particular definitely has a lot of strong opinion associated with it and you don't want to be messing with peoples' sacrosanct notions about what it is precisely. Changing the words to party, festival, get-together or other non-controversial term along those lines would probably make certain sensitive people a lot more comfortable with the whole thing.

Thanks Dude. I will put that in my notes for next year that has already started. I was given a bunch of suggestions for next year on Sunday afternoon while about 8 of us were assessing the "get together".

Aww. you've crossed the line there now darlin' they be fighting words. Put down the pork roll and enjoy the scrapple and no one will get hurt.
There’s no point in the destination if you can't enjoy the journey.

pork roll is delicious, but scrapple is by far the king of breakfast meats.
