Default 10,000 miles from Alaska to Newfoundland

Leaving today for a @134 day, 10,000 mile bike ride from Alaska to Newfoundland. I spent most of the last year developing the route, over 40% of which is on gravel roads or trail and goes through a dozen National Parks. I'm providing text updates in the nerdiest way possible, on my myspace blog located at:

    Pictures will be here: www.photobucket.com/davidloome

Thought some of you may find it interesting. Have a good hiking season folks.

What kind of bike are you going to be using? Xtracycle? Bob? A buddy of mine rode from the DC area to the tip of Mexico. He was shooting for Brazil, but got "lost" along the way.

    Good Luck.
