Yellow Jacket, you answered this affirmatively:

"Do you put the tensioners on both the the rain fly and body tie outs?"

You don't mean you put tensioners on the hammock side tie-outs, do you?

Right. Only on the fly. I removed the "foot end" body tie-out and just use the head end tie out to keep the netting off my face.

I carry three 10 inch Joubert Mini Bungees I purchased at Home Depot. A pack of 8 costs about $2.50. The bungees are about 1/8 inch in diameter. The three weigh about 1.1 ounce. I tie fly sides slightly (very little difference) more loose than usual. I then tie a loop in the tightened cord between the stake and the fly. I then connect the bungees to the cord loop and the stake. The bungees will stretch a long way. Use logic when determining how far to stretch the bungee. You are wanting "pull" all night. You are not trying to pull the fly as tight as you would a tent.(Since I am not staking a tent, the loop knot never gets drawn tight enough to cause troubles undoing it.) This adds about 1 minute to my set up time. I use the third bungee on the ridge line. I tie a loop in the extra ridge line, that portion I always have after I am through tying the hammock ends to a tree. I connect a bungee to the fly and the loop in the ridge line. This set up keeps the fly tight from tree to tree and from stake to stake. The fly will look as good and as tight in the morning as it did the night before.

Was linked here from another thread and wanted to offer another option for tarp tensioners that came from SGT Rock's forums.
    http://www.tothewoods.net/HomemadeGe...ensioner2.html

I only use them on the tarp-to-ground tie-outs, not on the ridgeline tie-outs as pictured on the page. Need to update that.
