    I've heard a long hike metioned, but that was second hand.
    I was hoping that perhaps a caretaker would run the hostel the year,

    When I stayed there, I talked to Paul about hiking. Hes hiked the AT and PCT. He was mentioned really wanted to hike the AT again, but in winter. He was toying with the idea of starting in january and being back by early summer for the thru-hiker season in maine. Maybe he went for a hike somewhere...
    Anything's within walking distance if you've got the time.
